Why & Welcome

I’ve been photographing weddings for over 10 years now.

When I first started, I was fresh out of college with my BFA in photography, and if you’ve met me you already know I threw 200% of myself into my business (I tend to do that with…everything). Within a year I was having coffee with other young aspiring photographers, dreaming up ways I could both continue my own education and spread those resources around. I’ve been told many times that I would be great at teaching photography, and if I’m being honest, that’s kind of been my “retirement plan” all along.

But, my Achilles Heel is my impatience. My brain will always tell me, “Why not now?”, and sometimes I choose to listen.

Now is that time.

I’ve decided that if I’m going to be online, I will use it to help people as much as possible. It’s the only time I feel good on here.

I’ll be creating posts specifically for those who wish to learn some “tricks of the trade” and expand their photography toolkit. If you or someone you know wants to learn more about photography, please share my page. I’m going to be giving free #photographyeducation because that’s what I needed a decade ago, and it makes me happy to pass it on.

Warning: There will not be a particular order to these posts. Just what I would tell you, if you were sitting here in the studio with me while I edit.
